Speed up Your PC’s Computing Power – The Secrets of Overclocking Your PC

As time passes you may notice that your PC is starting to run slower than it did before. Continiuos installation and uninstallation of programs, creating and deleting files and even the simple process of cleaning your hard drive from any unwanted files all contribute in slowing down your PC’s processing speed. Unknown to most of us, there are some other ways that can be done to increase your PC’s speed without the need to reformat the hard drive.
Defragging your hard drive and constant maintenance when it comes to cleaning up your temporary internet files can help in speeding up your PC. In addition, you may also try to remove any programs that you don’t use. But there is a secret procedure that you can do to speed up your PC, and that step is overclocking your PC.
Techinically speaking, the speed of your PC greatly depends on the motherboard’s capacity to process all the data. When you configure the speed of your motherboard to a higher level, your PC will be able to process requests and information much faster, which in turn gives you a quicker access to any program. To overclock your PC, you can either do any of the two ways. The first one is changing the configuration in the BIOS. To change your BIOS configuration you simply hit DEL or F10 while your computer is booting up, this normally happens before your OS is loaded.
The second way is to study the Bus Speed and the Multiplier Setting of your CPU. Since this process involves opening up your CPU lid, it should only be done when your motherboard does not allow you to change the CPU setting through the BIOS. The manual that came with the motherboard should show the Multiplier setting, and by using the jumpers you can change the settings manually. Once you have changed the settings, observe your computers behavior. If it crashed it means that your computer can only handle the current settings, and you need to go back to the last or default speed setting. If your lucky enough that it didn’t crash, then you will be able to use that setting which will make you PC run faster.
While majority of computer users feel uncomfortable with this certain process, in reality this is one of the best ways in making your PC perform better and run faster. Get your PC to run faster and perform better with this secret process, and be ready to experience computing power at its absolute best.
